ZI.KI.A, Inc. is
a non-profit organization that provides educational
services in the nature of cultural conservancy and eco-education.
Knowledge is shared through classes, presentations, workshops,
and field expeditions focusing on the preservation of ancient
heritage, indigenous technology, and ecological awareness.
The name, "ZI.KI.A,"
and its meaning, Life of Earth and Water, are
combined with the serpent mask and shield of the Plumed
Serpent Creator God of Mesoamerica, KULKULKAN
/ QUETZALCOATL,
to produce the copyrighted, trademarked name and logo to
represent the organization. ZI.KI.A consists of three words
of pure Sumerian origin: ZI (life), KI. (earth), and A
(water). A powerful message given in the form of an incantation
by Quetzalcoatl, ZI.KI.A suggests a celestial command reflecting
personal, respectful responsibility of dominion. We, the
Peoples of Earth, are divinely charged with Earth's care.
